Before and After Breathwork & Sound Healing

Why chop at the end of your last name? I started chopping, dyeing, pedicuring, manicuring, waxing and giving facials in 2001. My husband is a chop too, in a different way… I’m Emily Gibson, licensed Cosmetologist and Certified Breathwork and Sound Bath Facilitator. In September of 1977 I took my first breath on planet Earth. From what I understand, I screamed bloody murder. There was no turning back… In 1997, I met the love of my life while attending the University of Central Oklahoma. He whisked me away to Denver, Colorado where I opened my first business, Bellezza Dentro Salon, at the age of 26.

One morning while waiting for my next client, a message from God descended upon me. Heaven did not mince words. The message I received apparently convinced my husband as well. We loaded an ABF trailer and moved to Coral Springs, Florida. We said goodbye to our life in Colorado and embarked on a journey that has been forever transformative.

I was gifted my son MSG, in 2006 while living on the island of Oahu. Mayer Sutton Gibson…Yes his initials are MSG! We did not do that on purpose…Little did we know he would attend culinary school and complete a triangulation of chops in our home, he is the third Gibsonchop. Love you MSG!

Motherhood has transformed me, along with moving from Colorado to Florida, Illinois, Hawaii, Georgia, Connecticut, Washington state, Italy, Portugal, Guam, California, Guam, and Maryland, with my partner of 29 years, and our only child. Our family dynamic has been STRETCHED at times, but who’s family isn’t stretched? Life is a roller coaster, and we do our best to survive. If you’re wondering why we have moved so much, my husband has served in the United States Navy for over two decades.

My nervous system needed a reset after multiple life changes. I discovered a healthy way to give it a hug in 2024. I came across Elizabeth Bardelli with Baltimore Breathwork and discovered I LOVED the program she built. I took her Baltimore Breathwork and Sound Healing course in 2025 and became a certified facilitator. From Italy to California, and many places in between, my life has revolved around pampering others. I’ve currently retired from one form of pampering by enhancing the outer beauty and have moved into facilitating an experience that will nourish you from the inside out.

Meet two of the most important people in my life. My son Mayer, aka, MSG. He’s a culinary graduate and knows his way around a kitchen. He creates delicious potato gnocchi and can bake a fantastic challah bread. He’s chopping it up these days at The Fishmonger’s Daughter in Catonsville, Maryland.

In the photo below, is my husband Dave, aka, the Tasmanian Devil and me, his “wanna be” Mermaid Dragonfly Queen… We’ve been breathing out what no longer serves us for close to three decades. He keeps me anchored even when he has deployed with the United States Navy. I took his last name and went from Wilson to Gibson many moons ago. Ask him why he is a chop if you see him at a breathwork and sound healing event…He’d be happy to share. Welcome to Gibsonchop, where we chop things out of our lives that no longer serve our minds, bodies, and souls and welcome things that do! I look forward to meeting you as we breath & let be. Emily Gibson
