“I don’t care what we do in Guatemala, we’ll be with friends and that’s all that matters.” 😍
Well, our friends cared.
Once they picked us up from the airport in Guatemala City, we twisted and turned our way through chicken buses, tuk tuks, and families on scooters to Lake Atitlan for the weekend.
We visited Guatemala in September of 2017.
Well after months of prepping to return to Guam and making the move in January 2018 back to the island, we are settled.
I have a second to share some photos of our trip to Guatemala last year today.
We slept in the rainforest,
hiked across suspension bridges,
and filled our bellies with delicious food in Panajachel.
A visit to a UNESCO World Heritage site called Antigua, where heavy rains drenched cobblestone streets and volcanoes were covered with clouds, was a mid-week treat.
The weather cleared Antigua of people and cast a soft light upon churches and landmarks.😍
Our adventure with friends, despite motion sickness and colds, was one of the best trips EVER! Thank you, Liz, Gordon, and Mr. George for everything! 😍
